For 15 years, Willow Street Wood-Fired Pizza has hosted a Kids Eat Free promotion every Tuesday after 4pm.
For every adult, one child receives an entrée appearing on the kids’ menu that’s on the house. And this is no greasy spoon, either. The menu is quite evolved and includes healthier fare for children, such as grilled chicken, a side of broccoli and more. The grown-ups have an array of delectable options, including the romaine gorgonzola salad, the rosemary chicken penne and—of course—the award-winning wood-fired pizzas. The barbeque chicken pizza is a must.
While waiting for the apps and entrees to arrive, artistic expression is whole-heartedly encouraged, thanks to the supply of sharpened crayons and paper menus for your aspiring Picasso’s to draw and color. For something truly unique, ask your server for some “pizza play dough,” and see what the kids sculpt (or simply mash between their fingers).
It’s also a happy medium for patrons who want a pleasant ambience while dining. It’s casual, but not so casual that you feel like you’re sitting in a major chain diner. It’s upscale enough to make you feel like you’re out on the town, but has a decibel level that affirms the fact that the restaurant is definitely family-friendly.
